A key feature of our proposals for the Plumstead Road East site is the provision of high-quality Community Woodland to promote healthy living and biodiversity. The Community Woodland is proposed to comprise 61 hectares (150 acres) spread across the three plantations.
Pockets of open spaces are proposed throughout the development, akin to a traditional village. These open spaces form differing characteristics and will include a variety of green spaces such as open parks, heathland and sports pitches.
These green spaces contain areas of play space, formal sports pitches and allotments, all helping to define their differing character areas.
Discussions are ongoing regarding delivery of the Community Woodland Scheme.
An Open Space/Recreation Plan was submitted with the outline setting the parameters for the open space/woodland areas.
